In Cooperative mode, Spore download PC players work together to achieve goals. In Competitive mode, players compete against each other to see who can achieve the most goals. There are three game modes: Competitive, Cooperative, Pass 'n Play. Personally i think it would be interesting to mix up certain game types in these stages, so its not just real time strategy for late space stage, maybe going back to the rpg type once you launch your first space colony ship for example, that would be cool. Multiplayer games can be played with up to eight players. Then the game moves onto a real-time strategy type game like civilization, until you enter space and then its like a 4X genre game, where you're colonising space and building a massive empire and all that. Starting with the cellular evolution, controlling your own little cell and then the rpg stage where you control a humanoid type figure then controlling a small tribe, then a nation, and then eventually the world.
